A Bit of Housekeeping…

We are enjoying the first sunny period of the year here in Portland! In the vein of spring cleaning, here are some things we’re looking forward to getting off our desk.

“Schwabitrade” Cometh

For our clients with accounts at TD Ameritrade, you’ll soon be getting some notices regarding the merger with Schwab. Accounts will move to the Schwab side of things over the Labor Day weekend, but in advance you’re going to receive a few things—and don’t worry, we will stay in close contact with you during this process:

  • Soon, you’ll receive letters listing any bank accounts you’ve linked to your investment accounts. As a reminder, just because we can move money to/from your bank account doesn’t mean we do. This is just their way of making sure the bank information is still accurate. If anything looks out of date, just reach out to us.

  • In mid-May, you’ll receive a letter officially telling you that your accounts will be moved over to Schwab. You don’t need to do anything with this! It’s just required for the transition.

  • In early August, you’ll receive a packet in the mail letting you know important information like what your new account numbers will be, how to get online after the transition, and more.

We’ll get copies of each mailing, so we are very much in the loop! Nevertheless, if you see anything that you’re unsure about or want clarification on, feel free to call our office.

A Request for Reviews

We are thrilled to have such a tight-knit client base. We do no advertising, so it’s your kind words to family, friends, and coworkers that have helped us grow our community. In our most recent client satisfaction survey, we were bowled over by your positive feedback. 96% of you said you’d be extremely or very likely to refer to us. With that said, we would like to have a bit more online presence so future clients know we’re still open when they Google us!

If you are comfortable leaving a review for our firm, please click here to do so. Google does require you to have an account to leave a review, so if you don’t, feel free to skip it! And of course, we are always happy to hear from you directly about how we’re doing.

PERS Statements Are Coming

For our non-retired PERS clients, be on the lookout for your annual statement, which will be mailed to you in May. We would like to get a photo or scanned copy of this for your file. Click here to upload securely.

Updated SEC Filings

Every year, we file a new version of what is essentially a firm biography with the SEC, telling them about our history, our approach, and our advisors. They ask that when we send it in, we provide our clients with an updated copy as well. I wouldn’t call it riveting reading material (and you aren’t required to read it, or even click the links to download it), but we want to dot our i’s and cross our t’s.

With any questions, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help.
